Embracing Kane in all its glory, the Kane Area Development Center is comprised of the Kane Chamber of Commerce, the Kane Area Industrial Development Corporation, and the Kane Area Revitalization Enterprise, all under one roof.

With all of the wonderful organizations coming together, businesses, both new and old, are thriving in Kane. 

Located in the Allegheny National Forest and Surrounds landscape of the Pennsylvania Wilds, Kane is known as “A Star in the Forest.” But for years, Kane wasn’t the Kane you see today. It had empty storefronts and buildings that were falling into disrepair. Through hard-working efforts by state and local governments, as well as community members, Kane began its transformation into the Kane it is now. 

Volunteers got together, grants were applied for and received, and they made something truly magical happen in their town. The grants played a major role in successful marketing campaigns, funding local community groups and improving the downtown’s aesthetic with building façade improvements. The annual “Kare for Kane” project brings hundreds of local volunteers together to work on community revitalization projects, helping to boost civic pride and to continue the efforts of making Kane a wonderful place to both visit and live.

The Kane Area Development Center, located downtown, encompasses everyone, tourists and locals alike. It provides resources for tourists, businesses, and the very citizens that make Kane unique and great. 

For tourists, it provides resources on trails and recreation in the area, as well as places to stay, things to see and do, shopping, and where to find some great eats. When folks come to visit Kane, they can connect with people who are passionate about how much there is to do in their hometown. There is a wealth of knowledge at their fingertips thanks to those at the Kane Area Development Center.

For locals, the Kane Area Development Center can provide startup assistance for businesses, copy and fax services, and other resources. Residents can learn opportunities that exist right in their own town and strengthen their connection with other locals.

It is through the efforts of these organizations that Kane comes together to shape its landscape, as well as become a popular hub for visitors to come, stay, play, and enjoy all of the wonders the Kane area has to offer.
