Jessie Vaughn is a self-taught watercolor artist.
She’s been immersed in painting for over 50 years and loves practicing her craft.
“My style is realism and I especially enjoy painting the wildlife and flora around my log cabin studio,” Jessie said.
But beyond her own painting, she enjoys teaching others to express themselves with paintbrushes. She does this at her public studio/gallery located at Abundant Blessings in downtown Coudersport.
In this well-kept space, Jessie works on projects while surrounded by finished pieces. A huge window brings in natural light and adds a sense of warmth to the space.
“I love teaching all ages and seeing the surprise and delight on a face when a student does something they never knew they could,” she shared.
While her works have won her various awards, Jessie defines her accomplishments in other ways as well.
“To me it is more important that my paintings hang in homes, offices and public buildings literally all over the world.”
