The Gateway Lodge: Creature comforts nestled in the PA Wilds
Clarion County | Cook Forest and The Ancients landscape of the PA Wilds
Nestled among the hemlock and pine next to Cook Forest State Park, near Clarion, PA, and part of the Cook Forest and The Ancients landscape of the Pennsylvania Wilds, lies The Gateway Lodge. With an intimate feel of a bed and breakfast, this getaway offers luxury suites, rustic and luxury cabins, and an onsite restaurant.
The creature comforts of a romantic suite with a gas fireplace and fireside jetted tub are accentuated by the relaxing view of nature just outside the window. Visitors can experience that nature indoors with the lodge’s eco-centric Gallery Rooms, each with a private bathroom, or in the lodge’s Great Room with its log beams, wood-burning hearth, intimate seating areas, and outdoor deck surrounded by forest views. Or get even closer to nature with the lodge’s own unique grouping of rustic forest cabins, each with a fireplace and wooded setting.
With a separate meeting center with its own kitchen, AV setup, and wireless Internet, the Gateway Lodge provides a great setting for retreat groups, weddings, and family gatherings as well as couples.

Visitors can take to the great outdoors rather than just admire it by exploring the forest trails as well as the shores of the Clarion River nearby. Outdoor activities offered range from canoeing, kayaking, fishing, and horseback riding, among others.
The amenities don’t stop there. Imagine a country breakfast delivered to your guest room, self-prepared cabin meals, or farm-to-forest feast creations offered by the lodge’s skilled culinary team in the lodge’s restaurant with made-from-scratch organic foods that include vegetarian and gluten-free options. The restaurant also offers top-rated fine wines or regional small-batch liquors used in their artisan cocktails.
A 2010 Champions of the PA Wilds Award winner for Hospitality, the Gateway Lodge is ready to take reservations for those looking to choose how to get away from it all.
