SpringBoard announces 2024 grant program
Supporting new and established business owners in Centre County
SpringBoard, a coworking and community space powered by Downtown Bellefonte Inc., has officially launched its 2024 grant opportunity for businesses in Centre County.
This annual grant program, made possible by Arize Federal Credit Union and Centre County Government, is designed to empower the small business community to act on their big ideas. In 2024, two grants will be awarded: one to a new business (younger than one year) or entrepreneur with a business idea, and one to a small business that has been operating for one or more years.
A $2,500 grant and a one-year membership to SpringBoard will be awarded to these entrepreneurs to help grow or scale their business. The SpringBoard membership includes full access to the coworking space, conference room rentals, as well as SpringBoard workshops and programming.
“As part of our mission, SpringBoard is dedicated to supporting small businesses in Bellefonte, whether they’re startups or are well established,” said Mike Scott, board president of Downtown Bellefonte Inc. “We feel a healthy, robust business community is vital to the economic growth and development of Bellefonte.”
In 2023, Bellefonte-based businesses Belle Mercantile and The Print Factory were awarded grants. Funds were used towards a brand-new look for Belle Mercantile’s logo and other creative assets, website updates, promotional and marketing materials, and
Applications are due by end-of-day April 12, 2024. Grants will be awarded by April 30, 2024 with SpringBoard memberships starting May 1, 2024.
